Long-time friends Brendan and Katherine are at Park Verde, the community park. But wait...what's this?

"...because, well, I really like you, see, and...Katherine, I'd really like you to be my girlfriend..."

"Girlfriend? Well...yeah, I'd love to be your girlfriend, Brendan."
The new couple was interrupted by Naenae, who was taking a stroll through the park.

"Hey Brendan, Katherine. It's beautiful out, isn't it?"
"Hey Naenae. Yeah, it's really nice." Naenae picked up on the hint in Brendan's tone and left awkwardly.

Oh no, Brendan, that's not the way to a woman's heart.

Hmmm...a joke. Not too bad. At least she's laughing.

"You're the nicest girl I've ever met, Katherine."
Well, maybe you're not hopeless after all.

"I'm a really lucky guy to be going out with you."

"Aw, Brendan. I've always liked you. Since we were kids, you know?"
Why wasn't I aware of this?

They seem to be doing a lot of staring at each other...

Looks like Katherine turned her cheek. Nice try, Brendan.

They look happy. Perhaps I should let them be...

Sean and Sarah love the snow so much, they eat their breakfast outside.

Sean loves school. He seems to spend a lot more time studying than the other two Lansbury kids.

Like I said, Sean and Sarah REALLY love the snow.

Brendan always makes time for his family, even with his new girlfriend.

Once he became a teenager he grew out of his sibling rivalry stage.

Destry has been a veritable well-spring of advice for Brendan in his teenage years...
"Brendan, have you made sure Katherine's not a robot? Because they're everywhere you know. You never can tell right away."
"Er...thanks, Destry. I'll...uh...check on that."
So Destry's a little nuts. But you can't help but love him.

Brendan's been working out, too. It's a requirement since he made the soccer team at his school. Looks like all that practice with his dad payed off.
Uh-oh...

If Anna didn't know about Brendan's new relationship before, she certainly does now...

But Brendan and Katherine are in their own world. They don't even notice.

Winter was a good time at the Lansbury house. A time for family, friends, and new relationships. Would it last?
